This post is from eyeonannapolis.com <p>A moment of celebration turned chaotic at the Annapolis fireworks display when a firework was launched into the departing crowd following the city’s Independence Day fireworks show. The incident caused widespread panic and a brief stampede as people rushed to escape the area.</p>

<p>Eyewitnesses on <a href=”https://www.reddit.com/r/Annapolis/comments/1lrz305/stampede_after_fireworks/”>Reddit</a> described a scene of confusion and fear as families fled up Main Street. One commenter noted, “My entire family had a terrible time experiencing the stampede while leaving the fireworks… really hope no one got hurt.”</p>
<p>According to multiple firsthand accounts, the panic began when someone fired a Roman candle directly into the crowd. “Some idiot decided to shoot Roman candles into the crowd,” one user wrote. “The police caught him quickly. As far as I know, no one was hurt.”</p>

<p>Another witness confirmed a swift police response, stating, “The cop grabbed the kid pretty quick.”</p>
<p>We have requested information from the Annpolis Poloce Department and despite the social media reports and community concern, the department has yet to respond or issue any type of statement. </p>
