Fatal Shooting near Obery Court, Annapolis late Thursday afternoon UPDATE

From new Annapolis Police public information officer Shepard Bennett:

On March 2nd, at approximately 5:15 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Obery Court for a report of a shooting.  Officers arrived and located an adult black man shot in the head. Police say he was in his 40s and not from Annapolis. The State Medical Examiner has his body.  

Detectives are investigating this incident, and police urge anyone with information about this incident to contact our detectives at 410-260-3439. You can call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip.  If your tip leads to an arrest or indictment, you may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
