Many thanks to Ward 1 Alderwoman Elly Tierney for sharing the coordinated Maintenance of Traffic plan that's from April 2023 through December 2023 in downtown Annapolis
The highlights of the plan are below:
- College Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from Church Circle to St. Johns/North Street excluding the Governor's required traffic.
- Annapolis DPW will utilize a portion of College Avenue as laydown space for their traffic light replacement project.
- Bladen Street in-bound and outbound will be closed to vehicular traffic
- Vehicular access to Carroll Street Garage (in-bound and outbound) will remain unchanged from the current configuration.
- Pedestrian access on the sidewalks of Bladen Street will be closed (on both sides) from College Avenue to the main entrance of the Senate Building.
- Access to the main entrances of the Senate and HOD Building will remain open during this time. The 'side' entrance to the HOD building off Bladen street will be closed.
- Pedestrians will either need to traverse through the buildings to gain access to College Avenue or utilize St. Johns Street.
- Pedestrian access on College Avenue will remain unchanged from the current configuration.
