Dan Cox, Republican Nominee for Gov, Concedes at around 1pm Wednesday

Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Cox conceded the Maryland governor's race Wednesday afternoon, congratulating Governor-elect Wes Moore, but also blasting Gov. Larry Hogan for his lack of support.

There was some uncertainty as to whether Cox would concede. During the campaign, Cox dodged questions about whether he would accept the results of the election.  Cox was not supported by Republican Governor Larry Hogan, who is termed out of office. "Governor Hogan's disrespect of the people of Maryland in his own party will go down in history," Cox said during his concession.  Hogan hasn't formally announced he is running for the GOP nomination for the Presidency in 2024, but he has assembled a staff of former Capital Hill communications professionals and has written a book about his leadership during the Covid19 pandemic.

Meantime, Cox posted a two-page letter on his Facebook page about the concession and questions he had about the election and vote canvass.
