Head's Up! Being Given for the Songwriters Festival in the First Ward

Notice has gone out to constituents living in the first Ward by Alderwoman Elly Tierney that residents will be unable to avoid the sound of songs and music.

What is the Annapolis Songwriters Festival?        

The Annapolis Songwriters Festival is modeled after the hugely successful Key West Songwriters Festival, which in its 26th year, continues to be the largest festival of its kind in the world.  Highlighting the specialized craft that is the essence of music, this festival aims to give music lovers a chance to get to know the names and faces behind the songs in an up-close and personal setting.

Where is the festival taking place?
The Annapolis Songwriters Festival will be taking place September 15-17 throughout Downtown Annapolis. Jake Owen with George Birge (September 17th) and Amos Lee with Madison Cunningham (September 16) are performing at our City Dock stage located in Downtown Annapolis at Susan Campbell Park.  Ticketed venues include Rams Head On Stage, MC3 Annapolis, and Maryland Hall. Free events will be taking place in bars and restaurants throughout Downtown Annapolis along 'Songwriters Trail' from Westgate Circle to City Dock.

Where is the concert at City Dock?
Amos Lee with Madison Cunningham will be performing at Annapolis City Dock on September 16th.
Jake Owen with George Birge will be performing at Annapolis City Dock on September 17th.
These shows will be happening in Downtown Annapolis at City Dock/Susan Campbell Park and the adjacent parking lot.  

What kind of music can I expect to hear at the festival?
You can expect to hear a wide variety of songs that you know and love and some that you may not recognize, but be prepared to leave with some new favorites!
ill find it hard to not hear the Songwriter's Festival that runs from Thursday, September 15 through Saturday night, September 17.
