...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of DC, Maryland and northern Virginia, including
  the following areas: in DC, District of Columbia. In Maryland,
  Anne Arundel, Carroll, Central and Southeast Howard, Central and
  Southeast Montgomery, Northern Baltimore, Northwest Harford,
  Northwest Howard, Northwest Montgomery, Prince Georges, Southeast
  Harford and Southern Baltimore. In northern Virginia,
  Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria, Eastern Loudoun and Fairfax.

* WHEN...Until Midnight EDT tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into
    the evening as a cold front pushes through the area. Heavy
    rainfall rates could produce localized rainfall amounts of 2
    to 3 inches in a short period of time.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 2 am, then a chance of showers. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 66. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three-quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 81. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 81. Northwest wind 6 to 9 mph.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 64.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 60.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 78.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 79.
