Anne Arundel PD Reports Serious Crimes Over The Weekend

Yesterday Anne Arundel County Police responded to an early morning car Jacking at Hidden Brook Drive and Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie. The victim was a 39-year-old man who was getting into his vehicle, a gray 2016 Dodge Challenger when a gold Hyundai pulled up nearby. The passenger of the Hyundai approached him, implied he had a handgun, and demanded the man's wallet and keys. The victim complied, and the suspect drove off with the victim’s car, followed by the Hyundai. There were no injuries reported in this incident. Eastern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6145 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Hours later in a different section of Glen Burnie approximately 10:30 at night, officers responded to a carjacking that occurred in the 7500 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The 55-year-old male was in his vehicle, a white 2006 Ford Taurus, when an unknown male suspect opened his car door, threw the victim to the ground, and drove off with his vehicle. The victim was treated at the scene by EMS for minor injuries. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Police are also reporting that early this morning, Monday, August 29, two women got into an argument, and shots were fired. It happened in the area of Muddy Creek Road and Plantation Boulevard.  Officers met with the victim whose vehicle had been shot by an acquaintance after a verbal altercation. The suspect shot at the victim, striking her vehicle. There were no injuries reported during this incident, and a rifle was recovered from the scene.  Suspects were arrested and charged accordingly They are  39-year-old Holly Revell of Lothiand and 29-year-old Halley DiSilvestre of Deale. 

 

Police also responded to a crash and a collision in the county, one of which involved a motorcycle.
