Meredith Marx

Meredith Marx was born into a musical lifestyle; growing up backstage watching her father’s sound company provide audio and witnessing the touring life, it was clear that this is where Meredith felt at home. Hanging out with famous musicians has always been second nature to her but she loved seeing the behind the scenes and now telling the stories!

A child of the 70’s and 80’s, Captain Marx knew she had to continue to bring this music to people across the country. Taking time each week to create a unique and fun playlist that will get the reaction of “wow, that took me back” or “I haven’t heard that one in forever”!

Meredith is mom to twin teenage girls and 2 puggles. Her favorite movie of all time is Beetlejuice. She has a falling phobia so no roller coasters or log flumes, don’t even ask her!

After being on air in several markets since 2000, she created The Yacht Club in 2019, a show with a large umbrella of music spanning from 1970-1991 and gaining a wonderful following and audience.

Meredith is excited to continue to set sail back in time as the show hits WNAV! Climb on board for some shrimp and crabmeat pizza, some rum drinks and some Berger cookies! Let’s have a good old time on this yacht and as the Captain always says…. LET’S GO!!!!

Wink Martindale

What’s that song? Who’s the performer? How did they get that name? What inspired those words? Why does this music touch my heart... make me smile... make me cry... make me want to dance, romance and fall in love? Whatever happened to the great hits I grew up with?

For the answers, tune in to THE HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL with the legendary WINK MARTINDALE on WHGM every Sunday from 10pm-Midnight. You’ll learn things you never knew about your favorite songs, both from Wink and from the artists themselves. It’s great fun, and you’ll love the music even more when you learn the sometimes funny, sometimes tragic, sometimes incredible but always fascinating stories behind it.

Winston Conrad "Wink" Martindale is an American disc jockey, radio personality, game show host, and television producer. In his six-decade career, he is best known for hosting Gambit from 1972 to 1976 (and again from 1980 to 1981), Tic-Tac-Dough from 1978 to 1985, High Rollers from 1987 to 1988, and Debt from 1996 to 1998. On June 2, 2006, Martindale received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2007, he became a member of the nominating committee of the Hit Parade Hall of Fame.

The all-new HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL with WINK MARTINDALE is written and produced by multiple award-winning producer Gary Theroux, who researched, wrote and co-produced the original epic 52-hour Billboard award-winning HISTORY OF ROCK ‘N’ ROLL in 1978.
