WNAV’s News Team ’21 Wins 4 Awards from Regional AP Broadcasters Association

The news team of WNAV won accolades from members Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association at their meeting and awards banquet in Ocean City this past weekend. The former news director Rita Rich and former news anchor Julie Reiter shared first place prizes for continuous coverage of the tornadoes that decimated the Parole section of the City of Annapolis last year. Second-place awards were given out to the best news anchor (Ms.Reiter) and for best reporter Rita Rich and for the public affairs program, The 1430 Connection called, “Men and Women in Blue Committing Suicide: Operation 22 to Zero.”
