Saturday Shootings in Annapolis

One Alleged Shooter Arrested

22-12327 – Unit block of Melrob Ct. – Shooting 

 On 6/11/22 at approximately 2:30am, officers responded to the Anne Arundel Medical Center for a reported walk-in gunshot victim.

Officers learned both victims were walking in the area of  Melrob Court (annex parking lot) when approached by two male suspects.  Both suspects were armed with their own firearms and approached the victims, in what was seemingly a robbery attempt.

A physical altercation ensued and one of the suspects discharged one round from their firearm grazing one victim in the arm.  That one round continued striking the second victim in the chest.  Both victims sought shelter in the nearby apartment building as both suspects fled into the night in an unknown direction of travel.

The victim with the chest wound was flown from AAMC to R. Adams Cowley Shock trauma in Baltimore, followed by the victim who suffered the graze wound.

22-12335 – 1000 block of President St. – Shots fired with arrests 

On 6/11/22 at approximately 5:23AM, officers responded to the 1000 block of President Street for reports of shots being fired. Upon arrival, shell casings were located in the roadway and a description of the suspects vehicle was broadcasted.

Minutes later, officers located the vehicle in the 1400 block of Tyler Ave.. The suspect vehicle was occupied by three individuals. All three individuals were taken into custody without incident.

A 9MM handgun was recovered from the vehicle. No injuries were reported in this incident.
