(Annapolis, MD) WNAV — No sailing experience is necessary! Registration is now open for the Brendan Sailing school, summer camps for Youth with Learning Differences. The organization is a non-profit 501 © (3) founded in 1985, and does not make money off campers.
One camp is a two-week experience held at Bembe Beach in Annapolis and the start date is Monday, June 20. Certified sailing instructors cover an introduction that includes parts of the boat, maneuvers, navigation, and the Rules of the Road that follows the National On-Water Standards.
Applications are now being accepted for students with learning differences, ages 11-18.
An overnight camp is available for older, seasoned campers during the month of July when the camp and lessons move to the waterfront campus at St. Mary’s College of Maryland campus.
An early bird registration discount may be available of up to $100 for those who sign up by April 1st. Scholarships are available, so no young person is ever turned down for inability to pay.
