Update-Troopers are identifying the driver who engaged in an argument with another driver Saturday evening on Route 50 near College Park. The victim is identified as 29-year-old DeLonte Hicks, a resident of Washington D.C. Hicks was driving a tow truck and shooter was in a dark colored sedan. He has died as a result of his injuries.
Detectives believe the two men were strangers prior to the road rage argument which resulted in deadly gunfire.
1-State Police in College Park say they suspect a road rage incident led to a shooting on Eastbound Route 50 at Veterans Parkway.
A tow truck driver reported that he argued with another driver and the second driver allegedly pulled out a weapon and fired into the tow truck. It all started just before 6 p.m. Saturday.
The gunman was last seen driving eastbound on Route 50.
The tow truck driver was treated at a local hospital. Police this was a random incident. The drivers did not know each other before their argument
