(Annapolis, MD) WNAV — The new Academic Dean for the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Rhode Island is a Naval Academy alum and she will serve as the sixth Dean at NAPS.
Dr. Alisha Malloy graduated from the academy in 1990.
Dr. Malloy has served as an associate professor of computer information systems at North Carolina Central University and will begin a new tenure at NAPS this June.
Dr. Malloy’s accolades are impressive. She is the recipient of NCCU’s Excellence in Service Award (School of Business) and Teaching Excellence Award. She brings 20 years’ experience to the academic position.
Dr. Malloy is an innovative researcher who earned the college over $1.5 million in grant funding. She is a STEM enthusiast and is the STEM Lead for the Naval Academy Minority Association.
The primary mission of the Rhode Island prep school is to enhance the candidates’ skillset to help them make a successful transition to the U.S. Naval Academy.
