(Annapolis, MD) WNAV — Maryland health officials report that 80 more patients have been released from hospital treatment. The state positivity rate has dropped just below 7% and the number of new cases is over 1600. There have been 44 more deaths from the virus and its complications in the most recent 24-hour-period.

The highest number of pediatric cases are reported are at Windsor Farm Elementary School in Arnold and Crofton Meadows Elementary School, with each school reporting 45 illnesses.
There are 31 cases reported at Edgewater Elementary School and Monarch Academy in Glen Burnie has 28 current cases.
Shadyside Elementary School reports 26 students who are sick and Sunset Elementary School in Pasadena has 23 students with positive test results.
The highest number of outbreaks at any state public school is at Patterson Mill Middle School in Harford County where 228 of the student population have a positive test result for COVID-19.
