Annapolis police say a transaction for a car sale did not go as planned Thursday evening.

A man reported he bought a car online. When the meeting time came to transfer the title, he was run over by the “would be sellers” in “his” car. They took the final payment with them.

Police say the victim suffered minor injuries and did not need a trip to the hospital. The assault and theft happened on Madison Street.
