A Fireboat belonging to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department sank in the Chesapeake Bay near Gibson Island on Monday. The watercraft, identified as Fireboat 41 was being used for training by crew members of Fireboat 19. All four people were rescued and were not injured. The Fire Department sent out at tweet at around 5PM on Monday saying “Fire Department personnel are actively working with local resources to recover the boat from the water in a safe manner. Thanks to all who assisted in the rescue of our personnel.”
