Federal FEMA Dollars Flowing into Maryland

(Washington D.C) WNAV — Our leadership in Washington announced today federal dollars have been approved to reimburse state and local governments for COVID-19 pandemic related costs:  Medical equipment, PPE, ventilators, respirators, face shields, N95 masks, surgical masks, gloves and, running COVID-19 testing sites.

Senator (D) Ben Cardin’s office says that the Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management will receive $3,292,747.

The state Department of Health and Mental Hygiene will receive $30,400,063.

The City of Baltimore is receiving $4,582,952 for their spending on non-congregate sheltering.

In total, the state is receiving a reimbursement of $38,274,762 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA.)

Baltimore City has already received over $6.5-million in reimbursement funds for pandemic related spending.
