What started with a traffic stop this past fall, for minor traffic infractions by State troopers, will lead to a Stafford County Virginia Man spending 5 years behind bars in Maryland without the possibility of parole.
Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney, Anne Colt Leitess says that a jury has found 23 year old Derron Daley of 20 felony counts which included possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana, three counts of transporting a loaded handgun, three counts of possession of a handgun while being a prohibited person and three counts of possession of a handgun while engaged in a drug trafficking crime.
Daley fled from similiar charges in Virginia to Florida earlier this year he was convicted of possession with intent to distribute marijuana in that commonwealth. He had to be extradited back to Virginia and then to Maryland for this proceeding.
Daley will be sentenced this coming September 16.
