This post is from eyeonannapolis.com
Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown and U.S. Space Force Colonel Bree Fram have been named Grand Marshals for the 2025 Annapolis Pride Parade and Festival, organizers confirmed Tuesday.

Brown, the state’s first Black attorney general, has been active in defending LGBTQIA+ rights through legal challenges against recent federal policies. Fram, an astronautical engineer and one of the highest-ranking openly transgender officers in the U.S. military, currently serves at the Pentagon.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have these two amazing LGBTQIA+ advocates as our grand marshals,” said Joe Toolan, Board Chair of Annapolis Pride. “At this year’s parade and festival, we feel it’s more important than ever not only to celebrate our community, but also to get back to the roots of pride, as a protest, and work to defend our LGBTQIA+ rights that are under attack.”

The fifth annual event will be held Saturday, May 31, with expanded programming and a new route.
