WNAV Coverage of Naval Academy Graduation and Commissioning

US Naval Academy Commissioning Week is coming up Friday, May 20 – Friday, May 27. The Yard will be buzzing with tradition and excitement as approximately one thousand midshipmen launch into life after the Academy, as either an ensign in the U.S. Navy or a second lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Visit any of these events during the week for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Listen each day to 99.9 FM and 1430AM WNAV for the Commissioning Week Log, a run down of all of the special events that make up this exciting time at the Academy. Highlights include the Herdon Monument Climb on Monday, Blue Angels practice on Tuesday followed by the Blue Angels Flight Demonstration on Wednesday and culminating the Graduation and Commissioning Ceremonies on Friday.  WNAV will provide live coverage of the Blues on Wednesday at 2pm and the Graduation Commissioning Ceremonies on Friday beginning at 10am to include the POTUS Commencement Address.
