This post is from eyeonannapolis.com <p>The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels will hold its annual Big Band Night celebration on Saturday, July 5, from 6 to 10 p.m. The popular event combines live music, dancing, and waterfront views of the Independence Day fireworks display.</p>

<p>Performing at the historic Tolchester Beach Bandstand, the Shades of Blue Orchestra will take the stage at 7 p.m. Known for its 18-piece big band sound, the Baltimore-based group has been a regional favorite since 1976. The band performs a range of music from the 1930s to today across multiple genres.</p>

<p>The evening will also include family-friendly activities on Fogg’s Landing, with inflatables and entertainment for children. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to enjoy the show. Food, ice cream, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available from local vendors throughout the event.</p>

<p>Big Band Night admission is $7 for CBMM members, with member children ages 17 and under admitted for free. Non-member tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and college students with ID, $6 for children ages 6 to 17, and free for children under 6. Active and retired military members will receive free admission. Tickets are available at <a href=”http://cbmm.org/BigBandNight” class=”autohyperlink” target=”_blank”>cbmm.org/BigBandNight</a> and at the door. The rain date is Sunday, July 6.</p>
