Built within a restored townhouse, 86 State Circle draws aesthetic influence from London’s Mayfair District, offering a design tailored to what the founders describe as “the discerning traveler.” Each of the nine guest rooms features heated marble bathroom floors, curated textiles, and period-inspired design elements.

A standout feature of the hotel is a guest-only speakeasy lounge, accessible through a hidden entrance behind arched brickwork. The space is intended to provide an exclusive experience for guests looking for privacy and relaxation during their stay.

Celebrating Maryland’s Heritage

Room names and interior themes at 86 State Circle are tied to Maryland’s history. Suites are named after historical figures such as Queen Anne and William Paca, and décor elements reflect both the 18th-century architectural character of Annapolis and the natural color palette of the Chesapeake Bay.

According to the hotel’s founders, the goal was to create a high-end experience that remains rooted in the local identity of Annapolis.
